Kimberly Harris-Ferrante
Research VP, Gartner

Kimberly Harris-Ferrante is a research vice president in Gartner Research, where she is responsible for monitoring the business and technology trends within the property and casualty and life insurance industries. Ms. Harris-Ferrante has been active in the research field since 1992 and has been involved in multiple projects in social sciences, healthcare, law and information technology. In these positions, she supported quantitative research projects, including focus group support, survey creation, data entry, programming, statistical analysis and report writing.

Wendy Corman — Senior Vice President, Business Development and Marketing

Wendy joined Duck Creek Technologies in September 2001, as the team lead of Business Development, where she was responsible for Sales, Marketing, and Partnerships. Wendy began her career in insurance 20 years ago as an Information Technology Developer. In this position she designed and developed software applications for the specialty market and re engineered workflow to support agents and brokers. She was also responsible for developing new solutions for the Internet and managing IT areas such as the Help Desk, Desktop Support, Quality Assurance, and Ecommerce. At Forsurance, an internet-based insurance exchange sponsored by Chubb Insurance Company and Goldman Sachs she served as Senior Vice President of Technology Solutions. Wendy has a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Mathematics and also an MBA.

Bob Engwall — Billing Product Manager

Bob’s career spans 25 years as a technically oriented software development manager, programmer, and system architect, specializing in large-scale application software development and implementation.  Bob has a diverse range of product development management experience, including applications to support billing and collections, reinsurance, financial management, and management reporting.  He has developed and implemented systems for diverse clientele, based in the United States, Europe, Mexico and the Caribbean.

Cheryl Fitch — Manager, Platform Program Management

Cheryl has been with Duck Creek Technologies for six years. In her current position on the Platform Solutions team, she manages the Platform Program Management team, and is the lead on several projects and initiatives. During her career at Duck Creek Technologies, Cheryl has served in Professional Services in a variety of capacities, including Engagement Manager, Account Manager and Technical Lead. Previously, Cheryl worked at AMS Rating Services for five years holding the positions of Production Programmer, Team Leader and Database Administrator. 

Mark Gidman — Program Manager

Mark has been with Duck Creek Technologies for three years. As a Program Manager in the Platform Solutions group he is responsible for maintenance and support activities on the EXAMPLE Platform®. Outside of work, Mark spends time with his wife and 6 children.

Jeanne Limbrunner — Manager, Product Documentation

Jeanne is responsible for EXAMPLE Platform® product documentation. She holds a bachelors degree in Professional and Technical Writing. When she’s not working, she enjoys spending time with her family and her Basset Hounds. She is married with one daughter, Tiffany, who attends Bolivar schools.

Scott McCarter — Program Manager Skills Coach

Scott has been with Duck Creek Technologies for four years.  In his current position on the Professional Services team, he is responsible for the development of methodology which focuses on requirements-driven development for all Services engagements.  He also works to train, mentor, and support Program Managers in methodology, program management, and tool-related skill sets. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Science, and is a Microsoft Certified Professional.

Charity McGill — Senior Systems Architect, Platform Development

Charity has been with Duck Creek Technologies for six years. She is responsible for defining architectural standards for content development for the EXAMPLE Platform®. She also plays a Product Manager role for the Product in a Day platform initiative and works with other platform initiatives to help define and develop new content. In the past, Charity has worked with various service engagements including commercial specialty and personal lines as well as helped design the EXAMPLE TransACT® 2.1 product. Charity has a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Southwest Baptist University.

Sam McGuckin — Senior Vice President - Professional Services Delivery

Sam manages Duck Creek’s Professional Services Delivery organization which includes implementation services, consulting, integration, and Business Process Outsourcing. Before joining Duck Creek, Sam worked at PMSC / CSC for 22 years in positions ranging from Manager of Billing System Development, Professional Services Manager, Manager of Project Directors, and Sales. Sam holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science with a minor in Business Administration.

Paul Manning — Senior Software Architect

Paul is responsible for the design and implementation of our business solutions on the EXAMPLE Platform®. Paul has worked in the Property and Casualty IT industry for 18 years starting at Norwich Union in England and moving to the USA in 2000 to work at CSC. He joined Duck Creek at the end of 2006 and works in the Columbia SC office.

Karen Minica — Director of Services

Karen started at Duck Creek four years ago as a Business Analyst.  In her current position as Director of Services she works closely with the Duck Creek Services team to build processes and procedures to ensure quality products will be delivered to DCT customers.  Before coming to Duck Creek, Karen worked at AMS for five years moving from a Production Programmer to a Team Lead. 

Chris Murphy — Program Manager Skills Lead

Chris has been with Duck Creek Technologies for four years.  In his current position on the Professional Services team, he is responsible for ensuring that Program Managers adhere to all aspects of requirements-driven methodology during the life cycle of DCT Services implementations by conducting project audits and continually looking for improvements. During his career with DCT, Chris has taken on various roles as a Content Developer, Account Manager, Project Director and Program Manager.  Prior to joining DCT, Chris work for 12 years at AMS where he held various roles and spent the final 4 years as the manager of the Professional Services Team for all strategic accounts.

Sean Murphy — Director of Services

Sean is building and managing the rapidly-growing Services team that includes product design and implementation, technical consulting, and integration services. Sean comes to Duck Creek with more than 12 years of experience in the insurance, healthcare, utilities, manufacturing, and service industries. He is knowledgeable in business management, program management, and business process transformation. Sean’s past experience includes being Senior Director for Answerthink Consulting Inc, a leading business and technology consulting firm based in Miami, FL. There he served as the Quality Assurance Director and supervised ERP and Process Transformation projects.

Jim Noel — Content Architect, Professional Services

Jim has been with Duck Creek Technologies for four years.  He is responsible for helping content developers with manuscript issues and the writing of custom content.  He has been in the insurance industry for over 18 years having worked at AMS prior to coming to Duck Creek.  Outside of work he enjoys playing and watching sports.

Jon Richards — DCU Senior Training Specialist

Jon has been with Duck Creek for five years. He worked as an Account Manager for three years, and currently serves as a Senior Training Specialist with Duck Creek University. Jon worked previously with AMS Rating, Tandem Partners (a development firm), and Business Software Solutions. Jon holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Christian Ministries and an MBA from Southwest Baptist University.

Doug Roller — Chief Executive Officer

Doug is one of the founders of Duck Creek Technologies. In addition to co-founding Duck Creek in January of 2000, Doug co-founded Micro-Magic Systems in 1981 and served as its CEO. Micro-Magic pioneered the development and marketing of insurance rating software and services to independent insurance agents. Micro-Magic was acquired by AMS in 1986, and became the cornerstone of AMS Rating Services, the largest and most prominent property-casualty insurance rating organization in the United States. Doug served as the founding divisional CEO and also served in other key AMS corporate leadership roles until 1996. Since then, Doug has remained active in software development and consulting and has also been an active member of his community, working with the public school district on numerous technology initiatives and serving on the boards of directors for a variety of public and educational institutions. Doug holds both a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree in English.

Jim Roller — Senior Program Manager

Jim has been with Duck Creek for seven years. Much of Jim’s past experience with Duck Creek has been with the Services Team in content development, account management, project management, customer support and customer training. He has also worked with Duck Creek University in developing curriculum for DCU Boot Camp and as an instructor. Jim obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics and Physical Education from Southwest Baptist University. He came to the company after teaching mathematics and coaching high school basketball for sixteen years.

John Roller — Senior Vice President Platform Solutions

John is one of the founders of the company and is primarily responsible for directing the EXAMPLE Platform® systems development, "Product In A Day" (PIAD), and Commercial Content Development teams. John previously served as Vice President of Operations in AMS Rating Services through 1999. He began with AMS in 1987 and held progressive leadership roles in the MicroMagic/AMS organization throughout his 13-year tenure. John was previously a high school educator, and he holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics.

Jerry Scott — Duck Creek University Manager

Jerry oversees a team of twelve employees is responsible for managing all aspects of employee, partner and customer training.  This includes: instruction, curriculum development, certification programs, DCU Learning Center, financial aspects of training.  He also serves as the coordinator for the training sessions at the User Flocking. Jerry joined Duck Creek Technologies in May 2005.  Before coming to DCT he spent 17 years as an educator at Bolivar High School and on the faculty of Missouri State University.  He holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Education from Southwest Missouri State University. 

Valerie Southard — Senior Systems Analyst

Valerie has been with Duck Creek for two years working on the Professional Services Team.  As a senior resource on her team, she works closely with clients and developers to deliver customized solutions using the EXAMPLE Platform®.

Kerrick Tweedy — Chief Product Officer (CPO) 

Kerrick is one of the founders of the company. Since the founding of Duck Creek, Kerrick has been involved in various roles including product development, corporate IT, solution assurance and field engineering. In his current role as CPO, Kerrick is responsible for working with all business units to set the overall product direction. Kerrick previously served as a Senior Developer with AMS Rating Services. He began with Micro-Magic Systems in 1985 and held progressive technical and development positions in the Micro-Magic/AMS organization throughout his 14-year tenure. Kerrick holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Business Administration, and also reached the rank of Corporal in 4 years of service in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve.

Michael Witt — Vice President, Platform Solutions

Michael is responsible to direct and manage software development processes and activities for Duck Creek Platform Products. In this role Michael directs the development activities of the Platform Team to meet the new feature and enhancement needs of customers regularly and reliably.  A major focus of the development team in the last year has been to improve both quality and frequency of releases for the Platform Product suite.

Andrew Yohn — Chief Technology Officer

Andrew (Andy) works with all divisions of Duck Creek Technologies to coordinate the use of technology, promote a common architecture and provide design insight into project initiatives of the engineering and services teams. Andy is actively involved in enhancing the EXAMPLE Platform® product line as well as working along side the Policy Solutions teams as they build out new product offerings and services.

Andy is a founder of the company, and has been working in the insurance automation field since the 80’s. Andy previously served for 13 years in various development functions within the AMS Rating Division. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science with minors in Mathematics and Music. When he is not sitting in front of his computer or standing in front of a group drawing design concepts on the white board, you may find him doing some other diverse activity such as playing/singing at the piano or wearing a carpenter’s belt and using power tools.
